Bulk282RAMALLAH (PNIC):-Violent clashes erupted at dawn Sunday after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) raided Beit Rima and Silwad towns in Ramallah.

The IOF reportedly heavily fired teargas canisters and rubber-coated metal bullets at the Palestinian citizens.

Local sources told the PNIC reporter that the IOF launched large-scale campaigns in different West Bank provinces, arrested 16 Palestinian citizens and handed another a summons to appear before the Israeli Intelligence for interrogation.

Meanwhile, the IOF late at night and for the second day in a row stormed Palestinian neighborhoods in the Old City of al-Khalil, heavily fired sound bombs, and violently searched a number of houses.

Human rights activist Aref Jaber told the PNIC reporter that the IOF soldiers broke into several houses in the area, including his house, and wreaked havoc on them.

The IOF, with the help of Israeli settlers, carry out attacks on a regular basis on the Palestinians living in the Old City with the aim of forcing them to leave the area in order to turn it into a settlement.
